Brakes problem

Hello guys,
Just replaced my front brake pads last week and i have just developed a horrid rattle from the o/s front when i go over bumps. Same bumps with me feathering the brakes - no rattle. I have had it apart and re-greased and cleaned and checked and re-checked the spring clip (only one) about 10 times and wire brushed and greased the sliders until i bleed!!! I'm considering taking it to a quik-fit type place and having a complete replacement of discs and pads on front and rear as i feel my stubby fingers have missed something!! I use my a6 as a chauffeur vehicle and its immaculate - except for this bloody rattle!!! Please help.
