2002 Buick Rendezvous 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
my Buick Rendezvous is giving codes that the right wheel speed sensor is bad. Have replaced it and the code will not reset, dealer is trying to tell me the new sensor is no good. checked new sensor and old sensor with volt meter and both checked between 1000 and 1500 ohms, which is where it is supposed to be. Where do I go from here? Could it be in the wiring and how do I chech that and where can I find a wiring diagram. I do not want to take it back to the dealer because of what they have told me. Plus for 75.00/hr. they will dig a little deeper and if it shows the sensor is bad, they will only fix that. Thank you for your help.

Ohm test the wiring from the speed sensor to the EBCM. There should be less than 5 ohms. You can get a schematic from one of our online manuals. There is a link below.

Appreciate your reply. Could you tell me what the EBCM is? Is this a problem that you have heard of before and how was it solved? Before I buy a repair manual, I would like to know if I am going in the right direction.
