Engine Cooling problem

When I am driving in the city the temp gauge goes beyond the half way mark. I have to turn on the heat at maximum setting and it will stay just below the half mark. I have to add water about every three weeks. There is never any sign of water under the vehicle or in the oil. Do you have any ideas. Thank you Joe

Have you checked to see if the cooling fans cycle on like they should? You can just let the vehicle idle in the driveway, watch the fans, as the temp goes up.

I did see a bulletin about coolant loss, it talked about replacing the intake manifold gasket with a redesigned gasket, better sealing. You might look around that area, try to see a coolant leak. I realize it may be hard to see anything.
