2001 Buick Lesabre Left Rear Window -won't go up or down

Interior problem
2001 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 148000 miles

Last night window quit going up or down. Window moves freely. Panel and moisture barrier off. Motor Works. Can I replace only the cable or do I need to replace entire mechanism - Window Motor and Regulator.

You will have to replace the complete window regulator.
