Steering problem

I'm having a problem wkith my steering wheel not turning. The car will turn on ok but no steering, it moves but no steering. I have no warning light indicator therefore I'm totally clueless. I checked under the hood and found that a belt around the fan/alternator (?) was stripping and the fan/radiator was very, very loose. What would cause this type of problem and what do you think the problem is?

Your description sounds like the multi groove belt has worn out and will require replacement. As to the loose radiator, I am unsure of the reason but you might need to seek out local professional assisstance to remedy the problem.
