Brakes problem

Im trying to put on back brakes and they over lap a 1/4 inch and i have the cilinder pushed as far back as i can and they dont fit.

In 1999 BMW did not produce the Z4, do you mean Z3? What is the part number you are trying to install? 34-21-6-761-238 shows up for the correct part number on my data base. Also, send the VIN please.
