Noises problem
1995 Buick Riviera 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 113000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I have a 1995 Buick Riviera 3.8L Supercharged W/ approx. 113,000 Miles. This is a power problem that I am experiencing. I have driven this car for a little over a year thinking it was driving fine but then I drove my Friends same exact model and if felt like it was a SS compared to mine. Same engine and everything. Sometimes it will start rough then stall shortly after (within 10 seconds) Then sometimes it will start fine. Also when I am driving a little over 40mph the car will kick into over drive but will turn into a dog. It will not have much power at all. I will have to give it at least a quarter of a pedal to get it to down shift to get up to speed. The car has poor poor throttle response after 40mph. And when I kick it down I hear a clicking noise and then the trans slips occasionally. I have checked the Trany fluid and it was a little low. I filled it and still have the loud clicking noise when given alot of gas and the tranny still slipped a little. When this car is in park and you listen closely to the SC you can hear a small clickin noise as well. I give it alot of pedal and it seems to go no where. Especially after 40mph. I have given this car a tune up with spark plugs and wires along with air filter and oil filter. I just want my car to be up to Par with my friends whos runs like a king. Any help would be appreciated thank you.
