Engine Cooling problem
1994 BMW 325 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My car is over heating and white smoke is coming out of the tail pipe. Its been doing this for a while and now my car wont start. All it does is click but it wont turn over.
I'll give your the bad news, it is quite possible the cylinder head is cracked and will require replacement as the casting is easily available and does not lend itself to repairs. White smoke is the engine consuming it's own coolant. These repairs may exceed the value of the car if the car is in poor condition.
Yea i have to agree on this one does sound like you have blown your head gasget which is the reason for the white cloud of smoke coming out the exhaust...and trying to start the car til it wont start you also might have made the damage even worse...hopefully its not as bad as it could be and you need to replace your head gasget otherwise you might need to replace the motor...good luck hope you get the car back on the road...
