Engine Cooling problem
1994 BMW 325 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 175000 miles
my cars heated valve blew apart and my car overheated. i put a used one back in and filled the system with anti freeze it took about 3/4 of the gallon. i then started the car and letb run for a few minutes then opened the bleeder valve till fluid came out. now the car is still overheating. can you help?
I would be checking the thermostat is opening fully and having the radiator removed and professionally cleaned & flow tested, often when an engine has had an overheating event, sediment that this in the block is stirred up and can be deposited in the radiator causing a circulation problem, have this check out.
