Engine Performance problem

1992 bmw 325i mileage:171,000..In 1st gear, there is some hesitation. recently added some fuel injector cleaner to gas & it seemed to start after that. Also, with the ethanol in gasoline now, is that affecting the hesitation? Also, this car has a 'health-o-meter' on it when you start it. Have an Owner's Manual, but nothing in there states what it means. It reads about 2 green lights & it has four. What do I need to do to make 'it better'? Any help would be appreciated..thanks..

Has the maintenance been followed? Are there any faults set? What is the history?
