my odometer has stopped working, (mileage indicator)? any suggestions?

alos my check engine indicator light always comes on after I start the auto, goes off after I push reset button on computer board?

oh, if I may be so bold, how do I turn off inspection dash board light.........

There is a gear inside the speedo that is broken and is not allowing the odometer to function, replacement is one thing to consider. 1987 did not have a check engine light. It takes a special tool to reset the service interval lights. Look into some of the after market resetting tools available online.
