I have two questions.
How do I turn off the Check Engine light?
And I want to do some touch up painting on some trim-The rear casing for back seat windows. There is only one section that is painted. The rest is either pastic or rubber. How do I take that piece off to paint it?

The check light means something is wrong with the engine management system.

You need to get the problem solved to turn the check light off. Get a scan done to find out what the ECU is trying to tell you.

You need to remove the inner cover which is plugged in with plastic clips. Pry it off with a screw driver. You would see screws below and from there you would be able to progress.
