WHERE IS THE THERMOSTAT LOCATED? IS IT ON THE WATER PUMP?

The themostat is located on the front passenger side of the car. Follow the hose coming from the raditator and it will lead you to the location of the thermostat. You have to move the power steering pump out of the way for easier access of the thermostat. But you are right it is located next to the water pump.

Becareful when replacing your thermostat that the o-ring sits on there and stays when your putting it back it other wise you'll have to redo the entire job.
Haha that happened to me and it wasnt fun. Lol

good luck though its a rough job for such little work. =]
