Air Conditioning problem
1995 Volkswagen Eurovan 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 113000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
the air conditioning on the van suddenly started to work
strangely ie sometimes the air would stay on after the car
was turned off. then the relays would clatter. also the
flow control would not work ie it would get stuck in the defost mode and would'nt go to cabin . also the air is
not getting very cool. I found a vacume hose split and
repaired it that seemed to help the cabin flow but it still
doesn't work as it should and the air is barely getting cool even
after adding fluid. the relays have quieted down. help,
I am on my second mechanic. we live in taos nm with
the nearest factory rep. 3 hrs away. don

Hi donsuskiewich,

Check if the ignition switch is faulty resulting in the power not being cut off when the switch is turned off.
