Electrical problem
1995 Other Oldsmobile Models 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 185000 miles

I live in Milwaukee and drive my car probably on average about 5-10 miles a day with no problems rolling my windows up and down. When I drive in on the highway for more than an hour and try to roll the windows up or down, the car shuts off. I recently had the alternator replaced and thought that it solved this problem but over the weekend I was driving on the highway with the cruise on and all of a sudden the cruise shut off and I had to pump the brakes a minute and I was able to regain acceleration. After about a half an hour it did it again (cruise cutting out) and then it died completely and won't start up again. I think it may be a relay because the same relay that controls the windows controls the fuel pump. I know it isn't the fuel pump because I had it replaced in November. Do you have any idea what could be causing these problems because no one has a clue. Please help!
