Suspension problem
1995 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 125000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 1995 Lincoln Town Car V8 with rear air suspension. I had a blowout on the interstate awhile back, and ever since the blowout, the right rear side of the car sits alot lower than the rest of the car. I used to be able to hear the compressor kick on under the driver side seat, but it doesn't kick on anymore. I checked the fuse for the rear air suspension system, and it is not blown. The blowout was from the front passenger side. I turned off the air suspension switch located in the trunk before I jacked the car up. Is there something else that needs to be done in order for the air suspension system to reset itself, or does it sound like the compressor or something else just happened to mess up at the same time the blowout happened? I also turned the air suspension switch back on as soon as I replaced the blown out tire and jacked the car back down. I also kept getting messages on my message center display telling me to check the air suspension, but I didn't see any way to check it. How are you supposed to check it? Are you supposed to take it to a dealer or mechanic and let them check it, or is there a way to check it yourself? I would appreciate any suggestions, tips, or advice on this matter. The car drives real good, but it just looks kind of funny because it sits lower on that one side. Thank you very much.
