Transmission problem
1995 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 215000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
i have a 1995 f150 v6 2wd automatic . whenever i drive it ,it slams into gear everytime it shifts to the next gear.at first when i bought it, the truck was fine but when i got a machanic to check a sensor because the temprature gauge wasn't working, instead he fried the computer so we had to change that. after the computer was changed the tranny started to act up (slamming into gear when shifting) . if anyone can help with this problem it will be greatly appreciated

Your truck fits into the years covered by a TSB(technical Service Bulliten)
TSB# 97-11-11 for 4R70W tranny states...erratic or prolonged 1-2 shift.
94-97 Mustang and others...Replace the cast aluminum piston with the one piece stamped steel piston with bonded lip seals and replace the top accumulator spring. This is due to 1-2 accumulator bore scuffing the revised piston can be used in the scuffed seal bore.
