Engine Performance problem
1995 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 159232 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
For the last 20 months, every once in a while the car does not start even though it was it was running perfectly before I stopped it just a few minutes ago.
When this problem started, I just waited a few minutes and started again successfully. Lately, I had to wait about 8 days before it started. I tried to start it a couple of times a day withou luck and then all of a sudden one day it started. Ran for a 4 weeks. Early on, I had the tune up done, got the fuel pump changed, completelly removed the alarm system, checked all the fuses both in the fuse box and under the hood...they had nothing to do with the car not starting. As the time passes the duration of time the car doesn't start has gone from a few minutes to a few days. I suspect the fuel guage sensor--any ideas?
