1995 Chevy Truck 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 95000 miles

Hi, Just wanted to know what kind of freon is used in my '95 chevy pickup. Thanks, Tom

R143A - If you purchase a Recharge Kit I would suggest the one with the Gauge.And before you start adding more Freon make sure you are low. Put can on hose just don't puncture can attach to low side read direction for correct pressure. If you system is full check relay. If relay is good or you just went and replaced it and still nothing check Cycling Switch.

There should be a label under the hood that states what is used. It may be R-134a.

There should be a label under the hood that states what is used. It may be R-134a. |
OOOOOOPPPPPPPS!!!!! My bad I little dislesick .... Yes R134a is correct. Yes there should be a sticker somewere. Another way you can tell is find one of the ports if it looks like a tire valve then it is most likely R12 Freon if it looks like a quick connect type connection then it is R134a.
