1995 Chevy Silverado Seat Belts

Interior problem
1995 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 132000 miles

I took the rear seat belts off of the truck to install new rear speakers and now the seat belt has retracted into the case and I can not get it to release so that I can put my panels back on. How do I get the belt to release so I can pull some slack and attach the belt to the upper and lower posts?
