Electrical problem
1995 BMW 318 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 175000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
1995 BMW 316i, mileage: 175,000. During the spring/summer/fall, when my car is warmed up to normal operating temp, if I shut it off and let it cool down part way, it doesn't want to start. It acts like it is being choked. If it cools completely, or if it is still at full temperature, it starts fine, but when it has had 10 minutes to cool it'll not start at all i have to wait it for cooling or i have to make jum start with another car or a device to start my car Any thoughts?

There are many reasons for hot start issues for that model. When I am thrown in the pool with these types of problems, I usually start with the basics and attempt to duplicate these conditions for myself to see if it is something simple or more complex. A short list might include fuel pressure and delivery, proper ignition, proper cam timing, of course the history of repairs (if possible) also check all grounds and power, especially at the fuel injectors, as low voltage can cause hot soak issues.

can't be the fuel pressure regulator or cam shaft or crank sensor?

It could be, have you diagnosed them or is there a fault set for either crank or cam sensor? Have you checked the fuel pressure and delivery?
