Engine Performance problem

when it is really hot weather outside and and the engine's temp gets hot also (within normal range though)...i will be driving and try to accelerate and the engine will go down to an almost stall (super low idle) until i let the gas off...almost bog right out...when it does this i can turn the key off and then turn it right back on again (even while i am still driving on the road) and it will work great again for another 30 minutes or so..the fuel tank is almost full..new fuel filter..new plugs/wires..just changed the erg valve (though i know when the erg valve was changed the battery wasnt disconnected to reset the computer)...any suggestions?

id check fuel pressure, it sounds like the fuel pump is sucking up something in the tank and when you shut off the car it drops it in the tank and then it happens all over again
