Brakes problem

This is unusual. Sunday I was driving my nissan quest to church and we could hear a metal grinding kind of noise. I actually thought my neighbour was doing some constructions work. One of my tires had low pressure and as I pumped some air in, the noise went away. The following day as we started driving, we could hear the same noise. The tricky thing is that its not consistent. It goes away and then comes back. And it also happens when we drive really slow. It also happens some times when you press brake.
