Engine Performance problem

I am having a problem with a 1994 chevy 3500 mason dump with a 454. This engine has throttle body and when cranking I have no injector pulse, however if I pour fuel in the intake the engine will start and run. It may run 5 minutes or 20 minutes then dies. When running if i turn off the key the engine will not fire again pour more fuel and it starts. I'm wondering if there is a crank circuit and a run circuit for the injectors. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
