Engine Performance problem

i changed the throttle positioning sensor because the idle was very low at 0 when driving. so i thought it was the idle being so low it would cause for the car to turn off. i test drove the car and it still shut down on me the idle is fine its at half near the 1. But i want to know why and whats wrong with the truck that its turning of on me.
It turns back on fast but unless it cools down for 5 minutes it wont move.
