Engine Performance problem
1994 Nissan Altima 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 234000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
According to computer code, I replaced the knock sensor. That code is cleared now and computer is reading good. However, the car still runs rough and has died on my wife. Have I missed something or does the system need to run longer to straighten out?
The knock sensor is just one part of the engine management system, if you have no codes set, i would be doing a general tune up plugs, leads if old, fuel & air filters and have a run on an oscilloscope as this will identify any ignition problem that may be causing your fault.Start here.
