Engine problem
1994 Lincoln Mark VIII V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 45865 miles

my engine knocks for a few seconds on cold start ups i am using lucas full syn 5w30 and k&n gold series oil filter anyone familiar with a defect in these motors that can cause this ive had the car since 94 and i am really sick of it and i want to repair it before it blows up on me i've had the car since 94 so i know the mileage is true

Sounds to me the lifters has a leakdown problem or a weak oil pump-check oil pressure.
