Engine Performance problem
1994 Jeep Cherokee V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 168000 miles

I accidentally ran my Jeep out of gas. We put fuel back in it and tried to start it. It will start but will not stay running. I have had several people tell me it is various things, (the fuel pump is out, the filter is clogged, and the relay is out) I just bought it 4 days agao, and dont know much about it. Does it have to be primed?Or would a new fuel pump be the best thing for it?

Change the filter first, follow the fuel lines from the tank and you'll find it then test the pump pressure this way.
