Engine Mechanical problem
1994 GMC C1500 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 94000 miles

I bought a 94 GMC pickup where (as I found put after) the seller reduced the size of the exhaust from 3" to 2" from the crossover/catalytic to the back of the truck.
In other words, from the output of the converter to the rear of the truck. Its still single exhaust. Can I hurt the motor, and what will be the effects of this reduction as to performance etc? I was told I would burn up the motor in time. Engine is 4.6 (350)
