Engine Performance problem
1994 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my 1994 ranger only has 48 k original i have done a tune up , new battery , new air filter , new fuel filter , it has died on me 3 times now in the last month or so once at a stop light and it started right up after , most recently it died going down the road and wouldnt start right away it took about 10 minutes or so . i am a mechanic , but i work mainly on deisel trucks , im baffled... any ideas as to what could be doing this ? PLEASE HELP!!!!
