I have a 1994 Ford Probe 2.0L, manual trans, 148k miles - bought new in 1994 (been a great and reliable car). I know this car inside and out, however, I cannot figure out why it heistates while driving on an incline. Even the slightest of hill will sometimes cause the studder or hesitation. As said this happens sometimes. It will go for a week or two just fine then all-of-a-sudden it starts to lose power and basically crawls up the hill. I can take it out of gear (no load) and floor the gas pedal and the RPMs stay the same between 1-1.5k. I typicall have to pul over and let it idle for a few minutes before I can get back on the road.
I've replaced fuel filters, cleaned the injectors, spark plugs - basically tried everything I can think of.
Any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated.
