Steering problem

Bad leak in old lines, replaced the lines but now the new low pressure line is leaking. This is at the steering box and it has a flair fitting. It is screwed in tight, but won't quit leaking. What can I do to stop this? The original leak caused the unit to growl and lost power steering. I removed the cap to add fluid to get home and some "smoke" came out of the fill tube, but the power steering came back, until the fluid leaked out again. Going to add more fluid and noticed the cap was loose. added fluid, replaced cap and when I got home the cap was loose again. Any idea why? (know I put it on right both times)

Check the flared fitting for damage or some forign material fouling the mating service, as for the cap, the seal may be faulty or the locking tab faulty.
