Electrical problem
1994 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 68000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,

I use my mini van as a mini camper and i would like to install a small deep cycle battery. I would like the battery being charged when the engine is running but I want to make sure that it is not draining the starting battery when the engine is not running. I know that i can use an isolator or a solenoid. Witch one is the best to for me : cheap and easy to install ? Witch size, where can I buy those parts, how many amp do I need ? I want to make sure that the alternator is still fully charging the starting battery.
I just want to run two lights and a little fan, I was thinking about getting a 50 amp deep cycle battery...
Thank you
Antoine
