Engine Cooling problem
1994 Cadillac El Dorado V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles

I have a 94 Eldorado and I don't know what size engine off hand I know it is a NorthStar 32 valve.

But I run the car and just started to go up in temp just when I pull on the highway. One time it said hot and turned it self off trying to get back home.

Next day started up great and then temp started to climb in a short bit.

I have a new radiator new thermostate new hoses, new water pump what is going on now??

Can this be a recall thing??

Thank you,

Robert

I have the same car as u and I'm have the same problems. It all started with my core heater going. I had that fixed and the next day after driving for NJ to MD for about 2 hours my car started to overheat and it tued its self off just like yours. I drove it after that for a day and it was find. Later that day I drove it and watched it temperture go up. Its in the shop now and they can't get my car to overheat for them. I told the to go ahead & change the therostat on it believing this will solve my problems. was the the correct move to make?
