1994 BMW 318 oil dipstick

I am trying to find the oil dipstick on my wife's 1994 bmw 318is. For the life of me I can not find this dipstick. Can you tell me where to find it. Thanks

The dipstick is probably had it top broken off and it can make it difficult to find. Look at the area around the alternator for a tube running vertically from the oil pan.
