I believe you are referring to the brakelight failure indicators.
When the brakelight failure indicator lights shows, it could be due to a fault in the brakelight failure sensor, incorrect bulb ratings or intermittently failing bulb circuits due to contaminations.
Start engine without depressing the brake pedal. If the brakelight failure does not indicate, depress the brake pedal and if the indicator comes on and all brake bulbs are working correctly, check the brake bulbs sockets for contaminations. If any brake bulb had been replaced prior to this occurring, recheck the bulb ratings.
For the TCS light to show, it could be related to the brake indicator lights showing.
Here are diagnostic procedures if the above does not resolve it.
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
TCS Control Unit
1 . TCS control unit includes self-diagnostics. It will store up to 3 codes. Self-diagnostic system is functioning as long as engine is running. When a problem occurs, the TCS indicator light will come on and trouble code(s) will be stored. If the ignition is turned off and engine restarted, the TCS light will not come on (unless another problem is present).ny trouble codes will remain in memory.
2 . The most recent code will appear first. The oldest stored trouble code will appear last. If more than 3 trouble codes were detected by TCS control unit, they will be erased from the memory. Vehicle may have to be driven to obtain complete self-diagnostic results.
Retrieving Codes
1 . Turn ignition on, with engine off. Ensure TCS light comes on. Turn ignition off.
2. Locate 2-pin self-diagnostic connector at passenger-side toe board. Install a jumper wire between White and Black wires of self-diagnostic connector. Turn ignition on, but do not start engine. TCS light should start flashing any stored code(s). If TCS light stays on and trouble code(s) are not flashes, go to TCS LIGHT DOES NOT GO OFF under
DIAGNOSIS.
3. A long (1.2 second) flash indicates main digit of DTC, and short flash (0.3 second) indicates sub digit of DTC. For trouble code identification, see TCS TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table.
Clearing Codes
1 . Turn ignition off. Remove ABS fuse No. 2 from under-hood fuse panel for at least 3 seconds.
