Hi scarmona316,

Reserve tank overflows means coolant is being pushed out from the radiator.

Either the radiator cap is faulty or you have a head gasket problem.

Hi I had that problem too on my 98 integra...like the he said it can be your head gasket...take your oil cap off to see if there is any water substance or is the oil still black or is it brown...then check the water coolant to see if there is oil present like if the water coolant show oil substance if there is then you have an bad gasket get that fix and there hould not be anyproblems.

Get a cylinder leakdown test done. This is the only 100% accurate way of knowing if the headgasket has failed. Some quick home checks would be to check for oil in your coolant or vise versa. Or remove your rad cap with the engine running(make sure there is no pressure in the system and the car is cold first) If the coolant starts to bubbling and boil and/or if you see exhaust smoke coming out, chances are your headgasket has failed.
