Transmission problem
1993 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 190k miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My car has a major transmission fluid leak. I have pinpointed the leak to the transmission fluid reservoir. I have the car on jacks and fluid is dripping from the reservoir on the inside part of the reservoir. How do I make repairs?
I am not sure what you mean by the transmission reservoir? are you referring to the transmission sump? if so, this is usually a case of removing the sump and replacing the gasket, this is an easy if messy job, just don't over tighten the gasket and don't use any sealant either. If you require any further information re post your question.
