Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Other Plymouth Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 132k miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
ive just done an engine rebuild. everything is hooked up, vaccum lines and everything, it runs super super smooth. fires perfectly. compression is awsome. timing is damn near perfect. everything i know is fine with this car. it has a new battery thats on a charger. but when i start it i have to pump the throttle a lil bit ( fuel injected... its weird ). it starts. idles perfect for about 45 seconds with no warning lights on and then shuts down. battery gets to low to start it back up again right after so i have to wait a couple minutes again before i can start it. and its consistant does it everytime. ive Checked the Idle Air Control Valve. its clean and fine. i don't know if its the battery, alternator or if its something is wrong with the fuel injectors. or if its all of them. or if its something else.

Hi:

This is going to be a process of elimination. First, are you saying the battery has a full charge, and starts the car, it runs for 45 seconds, dies, and the battery is too dead to start it again? If so...

Pull that battery out and have it load tested. Let me know what you find.

Joe
