Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Other Saturn Models 4 cyl Manual 175000 miles

I just had the clutch replaced in my 93 Saturn SL2 and the mechanic told me that I would need to pump the clutch for the first few days so they system could work out any air. I cannot get it to shift into gear otherwise. He told me that both the master and slave cylinders were replaced along with the clutch kit. I have never had to pump the clutch before, so I don't understand why I should need to now. I'm thinking that he just didn't do something right? Please help with this, since this is getting very frustrating.
