Transmission problem
1993 Other Saturn Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 116000 miles

I have a 1993 Saturn SL2 with 116,000 miles on it. It is an automatic. The check engine light will intermittently come on. When this light is on, the tranny will clunk (dump) when shifting out of park or when shifting between reverse and drive. I ran the codes and recieved a transaxle code of 45. The 45 code states "Gear selector switch circuit problem - no signal ". Has anyone had this problem or know a fix for this?
