Transmission problem
1993 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 148000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I drove my Maxima through high water and the clutch didnt feel the same when I was driving home. The next day I got into my car, it started but I couldnt get it into gear. I replaced the slave cylinder a few weeks ago and this time I tried bleeding the line but that didnt work.

Hi AdamBrown1234,

Are there any pressure felt when depressing the clutch pedal? Get some one to watch the slave cylinder push rod while depressing the clutch pedal, does it travel far?

If yes to both above, engage first gear, depress clutch, start engine. Remember to apply both brakes and handbrakes while doing this.

If car does not move forward, free gear and try engaging again, release clutch and depress before doing it.

hi AdamBrown1234,

You are welcomed.

It was the clutch, got stuck to the flywheel when it got wet.

I suspected so and sorry I forgot to warn you about the noise that it would cause while releasing from the stuck position.
