My 93 Atima was doing the same thing when I bought it.....was the distributer, it is side mounted with an o-ring between it and the motor....o-ring was bad, letting oil get down into the distributer. Replaced and ran fine after that.

My problem is now I have an ABS light and a battery light on....just replaced the altemator last week, battery tests out good.....who knows.
