Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Ford Mustang 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 103000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
It got me to work fine that morning. I got in it to leave and it rattled and shook like a coffee can full of nickles. My daughter followed me and said it smelled like a bad perm. I got not take off power at corners. After I took off, It would kick in and take off, then slow down, speed up slow down, all the way home. Do you think it's my catalytic converter and should I try to drive it to a shop or have it towed? I don't want to make it worse!

The problem now is how much of the busted up honeycomb bed material is stuck downstream from the converter? The muffler will trap this stuff, pipes too! The more you drive it, the more is trapped!
