Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 154,00 miles

I have a 93 F150 5.8 4x4.
The problem is when I turn the key to start the engine the fuel pump will not shut off, if I start it or not. I usually can not get the truck to start at this point, if it does start then it runs very rough, and will even back fire if I rev the engine. BUT, if I turn the key to start and the fuel pump DOES shut off, then the truck will start with no problem and run fine.
I have replaced fuel pump relay, regulator, both fuel pumps, and filter. None have made a difference.
Is this a problem with the computer ?

A use of a scanner will come very handy here
I would suggest getting the truck hooked to a scanner and check for codes and data
