1993 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 205000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hello. I'm recently acquired a 1993 Dodge Caravan with a 3.0L v6 and 3 spd automatic that wobbles/shutters side to side from 30 to 40 mph. My first suspicion was either cv halfshafts or wheel bearing on the front but they all check out ok. However, when I grab the cv halfshaft on the driver side and move it up, down and side to side, I noticed that the end going in to the tranny has a lot of play in it. Almost like a bad bearing in the final drive. Does this sound accurate? Is this fairly easy to replace? What is the technical name for these bearings and who is a quality replacement supplier? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
