MY THEROSTAT HOUSING KEEPS CRACKING REPLACED 3 TIMES WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS

Hi:

You have to place the t-stat in the grove in the housing and make sure it stays there as you replace the housing. If it moves, it sill not allow the housing to set correctly and it will crack the housing when you tighten it.
