Brakes problem
1993 Chevy Beretta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 158900 miles

after i blew a brake line my brakes stayed spongy. I have bled the lines twice and it hasn't helped at all. also there is a weird high pitch whistle noise when i hold the brakes slightly and still moving. It also happens when it is cold and when i first start the car. I think it might be the master cylinder or something with the ABS but i am not for sure. Any ideas?

If the brakes are spongy, the master cylender is full, and there are no leaks, I need you to check a couple things. First, when you bled the brakes, did you start at the wheel furthest from the master cylender and work your way to the closest? Next, have you adjusted the rear brakes? Also, are the rubber brake hoses on the front brakes in good condition and not expanding when you use the brakes?

As far as the hight pitch squeal, check the front brake pads first. The brake sensor may be touching causing the noise. If so, replace the pads.
