Electrical problem
1993 BMW 325 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 207314 miles

I have a 1993 BMW 325I. Check console says break circuit failure. The breaks feel fine. What does that mean. I called a local dealer, they said I have need to bring it in. And I can't afford to pay a dealer to work on it.

Please advise.

Replace the brake light switch. 61-31-8-360-420 is the part number and the part is available online from Realoem.com or BMWpartsonly.com. The under dash will need to be removed to access the installation, and the knee bolster too.
