Engine Cooling problem
1993 BMW 318 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Why does my 318is keep on over heating? i replaced the water pump, thermostat, coolant temperature sensors, radiator fan switch, the fan relay and by passed the fan. The fan works when by passed but desnt come on when the car is hot. So i had the radiator replaced and brought it to a mechanic. On the way home the car overheated again only 3 miles away from the shop? What else can i do?

Is the fan clutch still good? There should be an engine driven fan on that model, not just an electric fan.

There could be occlusion in the engine (steam holes plugged in the head gasket) The "mechanic" you had do the work may need to recheck his work as well.
